This is fantabulous:
7. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
It won't solve all the problems of the world yet it will produce something different.
I love to walk by myself and think of something to keep my smiling. It's an easy start to making the problems on your mind go away. It's also my opportunity to speak one on one with God. That's an even surer way of finding out how to solve or bear with problems.
Like right now. The gas company came to shut off our gas yesterday. We have dogs so they didn't get to go into the back yard. My son was home and probably didn't answer the door on purpose. And here in Oklahoma they not only shut it off, they take the meter with them.
Today the electric company shut off our power. And I'm just waiting for the finance company to take the car. Fortunately the landlord is working with us on rent but that can't last much longer because it will build up to more than I can ever catch up.
Oh, and I thought about the water, too, but I don't remember seeing the water bill last month so my son probably hid that from me. And with our recent record of delinquency they charge $25 for past due and then come shut it off.
Fortunately, God is in control and I am dependent on Him to guide me through this.
Oh, no! This isn't where I wanted to vent! Pardon the post. I'm going for a walk......
In His Grace and Forgiveness.
