People who live in the past suffer the same consequences over and over again.

From someone some time somewhere: If you always do what you always did then you'll always get what you always got.

Read the Bible, for example. The Old Testament prophecies what is to come. The New Testament validates those propheccies. Where would we be if we stayed in the Old Testament?

Where do you want to be? Do you want to keep reliving the past?
Well, in fact, there ARE parts of the past I want to relive. But in reality, why would I really want to do that?
And there is LOTS in MY past that I definitely would NOT want to relive.
