Day 11

Oops, when I thought I was doing too many at one time I was actually missing it completely! Uh-oh. Anyhow, here I am again so I reckon I need to catch up. But this one just doesn't really work too well for me so maybe that's why I haven't blogged this one yet. So anyway, let's move on...

11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.

Yup, been trying to drink more water because the triglycerides are climbing up again and that's what they said for me to do. Problem is the water at home is absolutely horrible! Oops, that made me thirsty, brb.

Okay, there's one glass of water down. Yup, still icky tasting.

Blueberries, yummmm!! In Florida we actually got to go pick blueberries at one of Ron's friend's houses. They had tried to cut down on their crop and things worked out that they just didn't harvest them anymore. So they asked us if we wanted to come out and pick blueberries.

Well, I wasn't much of a blueberry eater before that. Maybe it was because the color of fresh blueberries has a dusty color to it like they just aren't clean or maybe it was that the ones I'd eaten before were bitter. Either way I just wasn't impressed with blueberries. Then we went out there and learned how to pick blueberries. Well, part of the process is eating them as you pick them. Oh my! Those were sooooooooooooooo good! If there weren't so many blueberries I probably would have eaten more than I picked. But as it turned out I got so hooked on blueberries that the memory lingers and I have never had the chance to pick all the blueberries I could again. And I miss that. But I'm not overly ambitious at solving the problem either maybe because my priorities lie elsewhere.

But given the chance, I'd make time to go pick blueberries again. I've even thought of planting them, but since I rent I don't know that I'd be here long enough to benefit from the harvest when they would finally produce.

Ah, well. memories speak volumes.

Wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts, put it all together and I think that would make a GREAT dish! I have no problem with eating these things, my problem is with buying them! teehee. Gotta get back to cooking again. Soon as I clean the kitchen, someone comes along and messes it up again. Now, I'm just that kind of person. I can clean the kitchen but then I just want to escape there and enjoy seeing it clean for a bit. Or then I'm too tired to cook. Or, well, I have any number of excuses, all very poor excuses, too!

Ok, just as the heading began, it's all ramblings................
