This one hits too close to home....
13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
I need to do this sooooooooooo bad because the new and flowing energy would put me into more affordable housing, which is one of my 2009 Goals.
Now, how can you tell a packrat (recovering? I wish!) to clear clutter? Okay, so with the electricity off now I have the opportunity for time from tv and sitting to start clearing out boxes from the attic. However, with limited daylight after work, it's just not getting done!
And my car? I've tried that. Every time I clean it out I end up with kids for the weekend and it's filled again with artistic beauty everywhere. How can a good grandma throw out such treasures? Besides, my son and his girl like to leave their trash in my van so once in awhile I toss it out in the driveway for them.....hmmmm.
As far as my desk, I no long accumulate there since my last job that I had to leave with no notice. They ended up putting my personal belongings into FIVE boxes. Of course, that wasn't how I'd have packed it, I could have done it with three! But that's still a lot of clutter. And I learned from it so now I have enough personal clutter in my office to take home in my lunchbag, and I keep everything caught up within a day or so, thus, no clutter!
So what? There's still no energy flowing.....oh, yeah. Gotta go clean out the house, that should do it!
I read a book not long ago about cleaning out the clutter and it still sticks with me somewhat. It's cleaning out the clutter in my life. I'm doing that rather well, with God's help. The biggest obstacle of personal life clutter has been my release of anger and bitterness. I don't have time for that clutter and I've learned to forgive and move on. I just can't spend God's time fretting over something that has happened and that I can't change.
Like the saying goes, "Give it to God, he'll be up all night anyway!"
