Day 20

Oops, where have I been???
Doesn't matter, I'm back now.

20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

Really!!
Okay, so what do we mean by that? What a challenge just to answer this one.
Okay, so maybe I only know how to take myself seriously if I don't soon come up with an explanation on this one.

Okay, so let's break it down to specifics and see if I can relate to this one.

Seriously.

So, I guess this tells me that I need to loosen up a bit.

In prior years I went to LifeKids Camp at CampWOW (Walk On Water). There I could let loose with the kiddos, and I had a ball. Teaching eager young minds about Jesus and how he lives in our lives while playing at their level in the shallow end of the lake, riding the zip line into the water, jumping onto the blob, making crafts, playing games and challenges, and what ever else was on the agenda for the week. I take it seriously while still having fun.

So with the turmoil in my life now, I really need to focus on this goal. It's aging me.

Seriously, I need to go back to being spontaneous. And on that note I think I'll plan, well, no sirree I won't plan, I'll let go and let God plan.

Seriously, I'm healthy, I can be happy, I can quit taking life so seriously and do more things where I can sit back and laugh at myself, along with others.

Seriously, I'm really going to miss camp this year. So maybe I'll pitch a tent in the backyard this weekend and get away....small steps. Seriously.
